not much of a RPG
Okay... loading... white screen... ah. there we are. an actual loading screen.
First, for a "DEMO," it's rather large in filesize. The loading takes forever on my dialup connection. Second, why much a RPG have those crappy Eskimo Bob rejects in it? -anyway...
I love the opening menu. You could have used more creative names than "Start" and "QUALITY," but whatever. (Of course, I have it on high quality.)
The controls section could be easier to read, you know. Instead of a diagonal keyboard, just show us a flat panel of keys. Again, whatever. (I got decent eyesight and common sense, so I don't need to know controls.)
Credits are pretty good, so on with the game...
When you type in your name, you should see a default name and a picture of yourself. Much like your average RPG. *wink* The animation is fluent, surprisingly. Walking is a bit slow and seems a lot like my RPG engine (posted on my site). If you guys need help in the future, consult me. Parts of this RPG seem to remind me of The Sims: Vacation in various ways. The music sounds very familiar and is very repetitive. The stick figures were a nice tough. I almost smiled from the humor. First battle was confusing, but after that battles were easy and repetitive. Nice coding, too. All the levels look the same to me, so the game got boring very quickly... too quickly. I'm quitting it now.
